Green Street St. Louis rehabbed a former Kroger/National grocery store which had been vacant for 8 years into a contemporary, LEED retail center to provide much needed goods and services for the surrounding underserved neighborhoods. The Project facilitates the redevelopment of approximately 47,000 square feet of existing single-tenant retail space into a multi-tenant retail format combining junior anchor and in-line space. In addition, the Project constructed an additional 3,500 square feet of new retail space at an out-lot location to include a drive-through for restaurant tenants. The Project is located on an infill site surrounded by residential neighborhoods providing the highest and best reuse of the property.
