Construction is set to begin on an $11 million facility in north St. Louis housing Raben Tire Co. and Goedecke, bringing a total of 110 jobs to the area. Green Street Properties is developing the 9-acre site, with both tenants signing 10-year leases for the 100,000-square-foot facility, including renovations and a planned 50,000-square-foot addition. GS & S Construction and Treanor Architects are the contractor and architect, respectively, with plans to have LEED certification. The project received $4.2 million in tax increment financing, a 10-year tax abatement, and $11 million in federal New Markets Tax Credits, providing about $3 million in equity for construction. Raben Tire & Auto Service will occupy over 40,000 square feet of space and employ 40 people at the site, while Goedecke will utilize 54,558 square feet of warehouse and office space with 70 employees.
