Green Street Real Estate Ventures and Midas Enterprises are proposing a $100 million hotel and condominium development in Clayton, aiming to revitalize one of the city’s key intersections. This project will feature a glass and steel tower at Forsyth Boulevard and South Central Avenue, replacing several small businesses. It is part of a larger wave of construction projects in Clayton that aim to add offices, apartments, hotels, and nightlife to the area. The development plans include 73 condominiums, 180 hotel rooms, a restaurant, rooftop bar, retail spaces, a parking garage, and an event space. The developers hope to transform Clayton into a vibrant community, although concerns about traffic and character changes persist among residents. Construction is expected to begin in the fall, with rezoning proceedings starting earlier in 2022.
