The St. Louis Armory, a historic structure with ties to tennis greats like Arthur Ashe and a former music venue, is being revitalized by developer Green Street. Rick Randall, a passionate tennis player, sought to restore the Armory’s glory but found the costs prohibitive. He introduced developer Philip Hulse, who is now leading the project. Green Street plans to convert 184,000 square feet into offices, creative spaces, restaurants, and possibly a microbrewery. The building’s history will be preserved, honoring its tennis champions and musical acts. The surrounding land will be developed into the Armory District, connecting to Midtown via the Chouteau Greenway.
