One of the projects we’re currently working on at Green Street is the redevelopment of the former Carondelet Coke facility. In previous years, it was one of the largest areas of continuous vacant land in the City of St. Louis – and also one of the most heavily polluted. The process of creating “coke,” part of the fuel used to produce steel, involved heating coal to purify its state. That process also created hazardous chemicals that lingered in the surrounding area.
Now, a fully remediated “brownfield” site, River City Business Park offers build-to-suit opportunities with suburban business park amenities, in an excellent, urban location. Building 1 is the first of five buildings planned. The 125,000 SF structure is divisible to 31,250 SF and boasts a flexible design with the ability to accommodate multiple uses including high office finish, light industrial, and/or tech/production. If you’re planning on building or expanding in St. Louis, contact us today to learn more about this project.
