Green Street Founder Phil Hulse has been made a member of the Counselors of Real Estate, the country’s premier real estate advisory group.

Green Street is proud to announce that Founder and Managing Principal Phil Hulse has been selected to become a member of the Counselors of Real Estate. The CRE designation acknowledges Phil’s status as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced professionals in real estate today. The Counselors have recognized that Phil is far more than just an accomplished developer — he’s a trusted and valued advisor to his clients.

“I’m honored and humbled to be joining the CRE,” said Phil. “It’s a vote of confidence not only in me, but also in our team and our mission of bolstering economic growth and business infrastructure here in St. Louis, and our commitment to green, sustainable building practices.”

Candidates for CRE membership are first nominated by their peers, then must pass through a rigorous review process. Each candidate is scored on a number of categories, including “ethics, experience, expertise, influence, and eminence in real estate and real estate-related counseling and advisory services.” The selection committee was particularly impressed with Green Street’s work on two buildings: the Urban Chestnut Brewery, which won the City of St. Louis Mayor’s Development of the Year Award; and the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 36, which earned the highest LEED certification of any building in the state.

As a member of the CRE, Phil will be called upon as an advisor for a variety of clients and projects across the public and private sectors. He’ll join a group of the most distinguished real estate practitioners in the country, and inherit their 50-year-old tradition of dispensing advice that is objective, informed, and insightful.
