Lead Singer, Brick + Bev
Jacob is the Lead Singer of Brick + Bev, a destination entertainment machine. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University in 1991, Jacob began work in the hospitality industry assisting the opening and operation of over 20 venues for the Baja Beach Company based in Chicago. In 1994, he joined a small private equity group based in Baltimore, designing, building, and operating restaurants and bars in Baltimore, Chicago, New York, Ft. Lauderdale, Washington, DC, and several other secondary markets.
In 2005, Jacob joined the Cordish Company and was tasked with the development of ECI, an independent, full-service hospitality consulting company, now with over 80 clients. During his tenure at ECI, Jacob served as Sr. Vice President, President and eventually their Chief Revenue Officer. Most recently, Jacob was ECI’s Chief Development Officer, leading the strategic growth of a portfolio of clients with annual sales over $300 million and negotiating real estate and partnerships.
Jacob’s specialties are based around building expert teams and creating world-class concepts that deliver. Growing ECI from $2 million annually in 2005 to over $300 million, he has created dozens of proven concepts that succeed. He also developed an independent sponsorship revenue division and managed the team directly, generating over $14 million in incremental revenue per year. His passion is activation, creating unique experiences that compel guests to return and create awareness.
