Developer Green Street is set to expand St. Louis’ Forest Park Southeast district with two major projects. A $55 million development on Swan and Taylor avenues will create 307 apartments, alongside 1,400 square feet of commercial space, and a 381-spot parking garage. Green Street will also develop 168 apartments and townhomes on six sites east of Taylor, with half below-market rate to maintain neighborhood income diversity. Construction is planned for the second quarter, with completion by summer 2021. The rental rates are estimated at around $2.05 per square foot. The projects are part of Green Street’s efforts to boost density in the Grove neighborhood.
