Green Street Real Estate Ventures is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our accounting team in St. Louis, MO. This person will be an essential part of our financial team for Green Street Real Estate Ventures, Green Street Building Group, HDA, O’Toole Design and Emerald Capital Strategic Advisors.
About this Opportunity
The Green Street accounting team are vital contributors to our business, and the Accounting Associate is responsible for continuously maintaining vendor relationships, cash outflows, and inflows. This includes processing, tracking, and recording payables and receivables in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner and maintaining ongoing vendor relationships. The accounting associate will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners. The successful candidate will be able to operate in a fast-moving environment while maintaining a focus on internal and external customer satisfaction.
This position is full-time in St. Louis and will report to the Controller.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
The Accounting Associate is responsible for processing all deposits and invoices received and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This will involve, compiling and maintaining accounts payable and receivable records, while also providing clerical and administrative support as needed.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable and receivable process
- Perform general ledger data entry
- Review invoices and data entry for accuracy prior to payment
- Maintain external vendor relationships
- Maintain internal customer relationships
- Maintain confidentiality
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Previous experience with accounts payable
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with Yardi Voyager
- Proficiency in Nexus Payment Systems, Microsoft Office preferred
